Notes on these reports
In order to enable our readers to be better able to make comparisons between rouble-based notations and their translation into euro, PIE has expanded its price table for the Russia price report.
In addition to the absolute value in rouble, the table now also includes the absolute change in rouble to the preceding month. The columns on the change in rouble in terms of percentage, the absolute euro value and the absolute change in euro remain as is.

As is the case in China, PIE’s Russian polymer prices are also based on trade offers, which are weighted and analysed by a reliable Russian partner. PIE complements this with the relevant currency fluctuations. The market structure is a little more diffuse than in China or the traditional industrial regions where long-term contracts are the norm. As a result, there is a stronger tendency towards periodic fluctuations.
